“Yelo Closing”… the coronation night… and anticipated confrontations to determine the two playoff matches.

The Yelo of the First Division League (FDL) of Professional Clubs concludes on Sunday, with the final round featuring highly anticipated playoff matches. The league’s champions and runners-up, as well as the three clubs relegated to the Second Division, have already been determined.

NEOM has clinched the Yelo League title for professional clubs, and will now be crowned champions on Sunday evening when they host Al-Zulfi at King Khalid Sports City Stadium in Tabuk.

NEOM secured its place in the Roshen Saudi League next season, and will be joined by Al-Najma, who secured the second spot after securing second place, thus securing promotion to the Saudi Pro League for the first time in its history.

The third spot is now reserved for Al-Hazm, Al-Adalah, Al-Bukayriyah, and Al-Ta’ee, after the appeal of Al-Jabalain Club (fourth place) was rejected regarding the refusal to grant it a professional league license. Al-Ta’ee will now take their place in the playoffs.

In contrast, Al-Ain, Al-Safa, and Ahad clubs bid farewell to the Yelo League, as they were relegated to the Second Division for the next 2025-2026 season.

The final round will witness 9 matches, bringing together Al-Jandal and Al-Najma, Al-Safa and Al-Hazm, Al-Bukayriyah and Jeddah, Neom and Al-Zulfi, Al-Batin and Al-Jabalain, Al-Arabi and Al-Adalah, Ohud and Al-Faisaly, Al-Ain and Abha, and Al-Ta’ee and Al-Jubail.

Al-Hazem is in third place with 57 points, while Al-Adalah is in fifth place with 55 points, on goal difference with Al-Bukayriyah, who has the same score, while Al-Ta’ee is in seventh place with 53 points.

The four matches played by the quartet of Al-Hazem, Al-Adalah, Al-Bukayriyah, and Al-Tai are important for improving their standings ahead of the play-offs, as the top two teams will have an advantage over the other two teams, given that they will play the two play-off semi-final matches on home soil, giving them an advantage towards securing a place in the play-off final.
