NEOM Strengthens Lead After Round 21

The 21st round of the Yelo League for Professional First Division Clubs concluded after three days (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday) with nine matches played.

The first match brought together Al-Hazm and Al-Ta’ee at Al-Hazm Club Stadium in Ar Rass, ending 1-1. Jano Zinho scored for Al-Hazm in the 23rd minute, bringing Al-Hazm’s tally to 39 points in second place, while Abdulrahman Al-Harthi scored for Al-Ta’ee in the 65th minute. This brings Al-Ta’ee’s tally to 34 points, placing them sixth.

In the second match, Al-Najma defeated Al-Safa 2-0 in a match held in Unaizah at the Education Department Stadium. Sila Sow scored both goals for Al-Najma in the 48th and 61st minutes, bringing Al-Najma’s tally to 36 points in fourth place, while Al-Safa remained in 15th place with 21 points.

Neom defeated Al-Ain 1-0 in a match held at King Saud Sports City Stadium in Al-Baha. Mbaye Diagne scored for Neom in the 58th minute, consolidating their lead in first place with 41 points, while Al-Ain remained in 17th place with 19 points.

In the final match on Monday, Jeddah defeated Al-Ain 1-0. Al-Batin defeated Al-Batin 1-0 at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah. Hussein Al-Muaini scored for Jeddah in the 75th minute, bringing them to eighth place with 29 points, while Al-Batin remained in 14th place with 23 points.

On the second day, Al-Bukayriyah defeated Abha 3-1 at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium in Abha. Fernando scored for Al-Bukayriyah in the 31st minute, Mohammed Al-Zaid in the 45th minute, and Abdulaziz Al-Sharid scored in the 90th minute. Nabil Marmooq scored for Abha in the 88th minute, keeping Abha in ninth place with 29 points. Al-Bukayriyah climbed to tenth place with 27 points.

In the second match, Al Jabalain and Al Arabi tied 3-3 in the Hail region at Prince Abdulaziz bin Musaed Sports City Stadium. Goals for Al Jabalain were scored by Kaka Mendes in the 61st minute, Gibson Souza in the 75th minute, and Leo Sebastian in the 90th +8 minute, bringing Al Jabalain up to fifth place with 35 points. Al Arabi’s goals were scored by Viox Ablay in the 86th, 89th, and 90th +10 minutes, bringing Al Arabi up to seventh place with 31 points.

In the Al Jouf region, at Al Jouf University Stadium, Al Jandal defeated Ohod 3-1. Abdullah Matouq scored the first goals for Al Jandal in the 20th minute, followed by Chisom Charles in the 27th minute, and Cheikh Camara in the 54th minute, bringing Al Jandal up to 11th place with 27 points. Mohammed Mohsen scored for Ohod in the 90th +1 minute, leaving Ohod in 18th place with 12 points.

In the final match of the second day in Al-Ahsa, which brought together Al-Adalah and Al-Zulfi, the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Alan Lima scored for Al-Adalah in the 40th minute, while Diego Miranda scored for Al-Zulfi in the 84th minute. Al-Zulfi moved up to 13th place with 23 points, while Al-Adalah finished third with 37 points.

The 21st round concluded with a match between Al-Jubail and Al-Faisaly in Qatif at Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. Ali Al-Mayad scored for Al-Jubail in the 89th minute, while Junior Mandetta scored for Al-Faisaly in the 76th minute. Al-Faisaly now sits in 16th place with 20 points, while Al-Jubail sits in 12th place with 24 points.

As for the postponed matches from the seventeenth round, the matches postponed from Friday and Saturday will be held. On Friday, Al-Hazem and Al-Safa will play at Al-Hazem Club Stadium in Ar Rass at four in the afternoon. On the same day, the match between Neom and Jeddah will be held at King Khalid Sports City Stadium in Tabuk at four fifteen. The postponed matches of the round will conclude on Saturday with the match between Al-Najma and Al-Jandal at the Education Department Stadium in Unaizah at four in the afternoon.
