The First Division League (FDL)’s Association holds a workshop on the licensing system.
Today, Wednesday, the First Division League (FDL) of Professional Clubs’ Association held a workshop on the licensing system in the FDL for the 2024-2025 sports season.
The workshop came as part of the efforts of First Division League (FDL) of Professional Clubs’ Association to open the horizons of communication with all clubs, which will contribute to improving the competition to the highest levels of professionalism.
The workshop included an introduction to the importance of the licensing system, along with a general review of the standards and requirements that must be met to grant licenses to license applicants, as stipulated in the club licensing regulations.
The workshop also reviewed the use of the electronic system “Class”, which was developed by the Asian Football Confederation for the purpose of collecting information from license applicants, and licensees and for sharing information with license granting bodies regarding their affiliated clubs.
The workshop reviewed the most important aspects related to the financial standards that must be met by the license applicant and the activities that must be included in this application, such as hiring employees, buying or selling players, match tickets, advertisements, sponsorships, and others.
The workshop concluded with an explanation of the mechanism for using the platform of issues, while the workshop participants were given the opportunity to ask inquiries and questions about various aspects related to the licensing system.
For his part, the President of the First Division League (FDL) of Professional Clubs’ Association, Mr. Talal bin Abdullah Al-Obaidi, welcomed the club representatives, appreciating their presence and thanking the clubs for their constructive cooperation with the Association, which contributes to the success of the competition and their passion to participate in the workshop.
He Confirmed that the licensing system workshop comes as an extension of the plans developed by the association to enhance communication with the clubs in order to overcome all obstacles facing them before the start of the new season.
Al-Obaidi praised the constructive cooperation on the part of the First Division League (FDL) of Professional Clubs’ Association, in order to present a professional version of the competition, which develops year after year with generous support from the wise leadership, follow-up from the Ministry of Sports, and continuous support from the Saudi Football Federation.
