“Yellow 27”: Decisive Matches in the Eid Round.
The 27th round of the Yellow League for the Saudi First Division kicks off on Wednesday, resuming its activity after a break of more than two weeks due to the international break.
With 8 rounds remaining, Neom leads the league table with 57 points, 8 points ahead of second-placed Al-Hazem, while Al-Najma is third with 47 points.
Three matches will be held on Wednesday: Al-Zulfi vs. Al-Jandal, Ohod vs. Al-Safa, and Al-Hazem visiting Jeddah.
Al-Zulfi is in 12th place with 31 points, just two points ahead of 11th-placed Al-Jandal, highlighting the importance of the match for both teams looking to move further away from the danger zone.
Ohod hosts Al-Safa in a crucial match for both teams in their difficult quest for survival. Ohod is currently at the bottom with 16 points, while Al-Safa is in 17th place with 22 points.
Al-Hazem aims to continue their winning streak and close in on the top spot, or at least strengthen their position in second place, when they visit Jeddah. Jeddah is also looking for another win to return to the promotion playoff spots, currently in eighth place with 39 points, just one point behind sixth place (the last playoff spot).
The round continues on Thursday with Al-Najma vs. Al-Jubail, Neom vs. Al-Tai, and Al-Bukiryah vs. Al-Batin.
Al-Najma will be looking to strengthen their hold on third place with 47 points when they host Al-Jubail, who are seeking a win after going seven matches without one, dropping them to 14th place with 27 points, three points above the relegation zone.
League leaders Neom host fifth-placed Al-Tai in a strong encounter where both teams will be aiming for victory. Al-Tai, with 44 points, hopes for a third consecutive win to move closer to second place, which is only five points away.
Al-Bukiryah hosts Al-Batin in a match where Al-Bukiryah will be looking to regain winning momentum and move up the table, currently in seventh place with 39 points, while Al-Batin aims to move away from the danger zone, sitting in 13th place with 29 points.
The 27th round concludes on Friday with Al-Adalah vs. Abha, Al-Jabalain vs. Al-Ain, and Al-Faisaly vs. Al-Arabi.
Al-Adalah will be looking to stop their slide and return to the runner-up spot after dropping to fourth place with 45 points, while Abha continues their quest to get closer to the playoff spots, currently in eighth place with 36 points.
Al-Jabalain, with 40 points, aims to strengthen their position in sixth place when they host Al-Ain, who are looking to escape the relegation zone, currently in 16th place with 24 points.
Al-Arabi, in tenth place with 34 points, visits Al-Faisaly, in 15th place with 25 points, as they seek to move further away from the relegation zone.
